We spoke with Kenneth Mostrom, Head of packaging at Alex Andersen Ølund A/S. Kenneth has worked for Alex Andersen for more than 13 years and is also head of the CC department.
1. What does a typical workday of yours look like?
Since I switched to this position in 2016, no 2 days have looked the same.
Most of my time is spent operating our CC pool and everything that comes with it. Packing contracts with customers, renting/leasing, managing the office staff who do packing registration and customer contact and now also operate the CC depot in Scandinavia.
Along with that, we always have a couple of side projects as our Drivers App, Customer App and not least our newest project: A CC-Destacking Robot cell.
2. What is the importance of CC Container and CC Services? Can you explain?
The common pool solution has numerous advantages. Above all, it optimises the supply chains.
3. Could you please explain Alex Andersen’s new role as depot operator?
Alex Andersen Ølund A/S has operated as a ‘depot on wheels’ in Scandinavia for many years.
This means that we collect and exchange broken CC items from all our customers. We still do this, but as of 1 January 2022, we have also added CC Depot handling at our Odense location.
This relationship between Container Centralen and Alex Andersen Ølund A/S is a benefit for both and also for many customers in Scandinavia, so we are very happy with this set-up.
4. You work with many different nationalities, but what is something typically Danish when it comes to work?
I do not know what is typically Danish, but I do know that Alex Andersen Ølund A/S is a family business and that fact has a great influence on all the employees. There is a high work ethic and everyone tries to have a good relationship with their customers and colleagues.
