Our heroes today are the people of MVB Plants. They have been a steady partner with Container Centralen for over 42 years, making them one of our most historic German depot.
“We are looking at almost 60 years of experience in the horticultural sector. We have seen many products and companies come and go over the years, but Container Centralen has always been a steady partner along the way for 42 years”: MVB Plants Worldwide (thank you Elrike, Steffen, Olli and Eugen).
1. How many years have you been working with Container Centralen?
Our Company was founded in 1963 as a horticultural sales association to promote the sales of azaleas, ericas, cammelias and Callunas. We are looking at almost 60 years of experience in the horticultural sector. We have seen many products and companies come and go over the years, but Container Centralen has always been a steady partner along the way for 42 years. Dealing with sensitive products like plants it is essential that handling from the grower over haulier to client is working as smoothly as possible and does not create any hiccups within the supply chain. With CC-containers everything from planning load factor over traceability to return of empties has improved immensely. With Container Centralen we are part of a very important network within the horticulture business.
2. What market changes have you experienced, and would you like to share with us?
Today’s market is fast-paced, and reaction time has increased immensely. Therefor it is good to have a steady partner in Container Centralen you can rely on.
3. From non-popular to “Horticultural Star”: How started the evolution of the CC Container bases?
In the beginning there were many different transport vehicles involved in the RTI’s logistic business. The situation could get messy especially during the main seasons. With CC a standardized vehicle was invented, which made things easier to handle for us.
4. What do you like about CC and what do you expect for the future?
In CC we have a reliable partner, and, in the future, this will help us to meet our clients’ needs especially when stress on the horticultural industry will further increase due to shortages.
