CC Container with RFID

Container Centralen implemented “Operation Chip It” on 10th January 2011. This means that 3.5m CC Containers are now tagged with RFID chips.

The implementation of RFID in the European horticultural industry is supported by Landgard, GASA Group, FloraHolland and VGB, and furthermore by IBM who is the technology partner. By introducing RFID on all CC Containers, illegal, low-quality container copies are kept out of the CC Pool System, which leads to fewer disruptions for all CC Container users. Also, free-riders are kept out of the system, which is therefore fair and transparent.

The CC Container is the European standard for transportation of potted plants - and now it also sets the “electronic standard” in the market.

CC Euro Dolly with RFID 

The CC Euro Dolly, was born with an RFID tag and is thus prepared for the future.

The CC Euro Dolly can be loaded directly at the packaging facility and used right away as a display unit (“Floor ready packaging”) at the retailer without any repacking and handling tools (e.g. pump truck) . These advantages were also clear when e.g. the Swiss company Denner decided to introduce the CC Euro Dolly in their chain of discount retail stores, where it has been used since 2009 very successfully.

Tagging returnable transportation items (RTIs) like rolling pallets, returnable crates, and the flower and pot plant trolley (CC Container) with RFID will result in substantial time and cost savings for all parties in the supply chains.

CC Low Noise products: CC Euro Rolly, CC Euro Trolley and CC Rollcontainer with RFID

Like the CC Euro Dolly, the three Low Noise products have been born with RFID, which makes it possible for the user to integrate the product data into his own information management system, e.g. for "Track and Trace".

The CC Euro Rolly is a rolling ½ pallet designed specifically for low-noise distribution of crates and cardboard displays.

The CC Euro Trolley is a stylish rolling unit designed primarily, but not exclusively, for the display and distribution of flowers and plants.

The CC Rollcontainer is a two-sided transport item that can be used for night-time deliveries without disturbing local residents. CC Euro Rollcontainers have a lift-up hinged base and swing-back sides for easy nesting.

All CC Low Noise transport items have built-in RFID labels, which makes it possible for the user to integrate to his own information management system depending on how this information should be used, e.g. for “track and trace”.
